As in the past editions, a series of high-level initiatives will be held also this year, to spread worldwide the Italian culinary tradition and food &#038; wine knowledge, as distinctive trait of the Italian identity and culture. This year&#8217;s edition will focus on the theme &#8220;tradition and perspectives of the Italian cuisine: awareness and enhancement of food sustainability&#8221;. Topics such as the Mediterranean diet as a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, the connection between biodiversity and food diversity and the enhancement of the food and wine traditions of the Italian regions and territories will also be addressed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"resource\/img\/2022\/02\/cucina2.jpg\" alt=\"cucina2\" width=\"968\" height=\"645\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"resource\/img\/2022\/02\/cucina3.jpg\" alt=\"cucina3\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As always, in Beijing there will be the active participation of the vibrant Italian business community working in the Food &#038; Beverage sector, with a series of ad hoc menu promotions as well as typical dishes offered by local Italian restaurants and numerous dedicated events.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"resource\/img\/2022\/02\/cucina4.jpg\" alt=\"cucina4\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the multifaceted collaboration with several restaurants, the Italian Week will continue online with a promotional campaign on &#8220;Sherpa&#8221; food delivery app and in the renowned &#8220;Jenny Lou&#8217;s&#8221; supermarket chain.<\/p>\n<p>During a meeting with the various participants in the initiative, the Italian Ambassador to Beijing, Luca Ferrari, stressed &#8220;the fundamental role of Italian cuisine as a recognized and recognizable symbol of the culture of the &#8216;Bel Paese&#8217;. Italian cuisine is not only synonymous with goodness and quality but also with salubrity. Indeed, the Mediterranean diet remains a key ingredient for both biodiversity and sustainable development.
